Themes for 2nd Sunday of Lent
The readings this week focus on our personal encounter with God. The 1st Reading tells of how Abraham encountered God and trusted in his call. The Psalm “Lord, let your mercy be upon us, as we place our trust in you.” The 2nd Reading reminds us that God is always present in our lives. The Gospel recounts the story of the Transfiguration where Jesus is seen by three apostles in all his glory.
