Wildwood Catholic Academy recognizes the importance of honoring our first responders and service members by designating an incoming freshman a First Responder Scholarship. In order to receive this distinction, a candidate for admission must submit the required 250-500 word essay on how they have answered a call to duty in their lives and how that example of service has been demonstrated by a parent/guardian in a first responder role.

Wildwood Catholic Academy recognizes the achievement of academic excellence in the Fine Arts by designating an incoming freshman as a Fine Arts Scholar. In order to receive this distinction, a candidate for admission must submit the application requirements.

Two works of art, in any media, that display some of the following:
- Interest in learning difficult artistic concepts
Example: tone, scale, figuration, color, composition
- Active imagination
Example: narrative work, invented creatures, characters, and/ worlds, interesting color schemes - Interest in trying different kinds of materials
Essay question:
- Please tell us about your passion for visual arts. What about making art do you love? What is your favorite thing to create and why? Is there an artist who really inspires you? If so, who and why? Between 250-500 words
- The images of your work and your essay question response should be submitted in a document (Word, GoogleDoc, pdf, etc). Please have the images and your response on their own pages.
With each image please have the works’ title, size, and materials. Please name the document with your first and last name and “Art Scholarship”

Performing Arts Scholarship

Audition Video Requirements:
- Please limit your recordings to approximately 60 second of performance time.
- Pick a song or monologue that demonstrates your level of technical proficiency and musicianship.
- At the beginning of your video please introduce yourself and name the piece you will be playing and instrument if applicable.
Essay question:
- Please tell us about your passion for performing arts. What about your style of performing arts do you love? What is your favorite thing to perform and why? Is there an artist who really inspires you? If so, who and why? Between 250-500 words

In order to receive this distinction, a candidate for admission must submit the required 250-500 word essay defining a volunteer service project you performed.

Wildwood Catholic Academy recognizes the achievement of academic excellence in our Lower Division by designating an incoming freshman as a WCA 8th Grade Scholar. In order to receive this distinction, a candidate for admission must submit the required 250-500 word essay defining what you experienced and what you envision moving forward as a successful high school academic experience.
