Ash Wednesday is a day to remember that we are God’s creation, made from the dust of the Earth. It is also a good time to remember that we are God’s Beloved. We might hear one of these admonitions as the ashes are rubbed on our heads in the form of a cross:” Remember man that thou art dust and unto dust, you shall return” or “ Repent and follow the Gospel.”

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent- 40 days of prayer and meditation. Enter this journey with an open heart and humility. "Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With Thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you."
