IRISH FESTIVAL

Full House Kicks Off Fall Festival

from around campus

What a great way to kick off the Irish Fall Festival. Last weekend our gym was converted into a boxing arena filled with people who came to watch No Limits Boxing Academy take on Crumlin Boxing Club from Dublin, Ireland. John Lynch kicked off the event and our very own Mia Massie sung the National Anthem. We’d like to give a big shoutout to all our volunteers and No Limits Academy for putting on such an amazing event at our school!

DIOCESE OF CAMDEN

"Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry"

from around campus

Kicking off the first official week of fall, Bishop Dennis Sullivan and Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Williams visited Wildwood Catholic Academy to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit with the entire student body. During his homily, Bishop Williams recalled the words of Saint Padre Pio on his feast day, reminding the students that "it all begins with prayer."

After Mass, members of the student council and select extracurricular clubs welcomed the special guests, including Dr. Bill Watson, superintendent of South Jersey Catholic Schools, for a light breakfast and conversation. Bishop Sullivan asked the students, especially the seniors in attendance, about their plans for the following year, and told the students that he will be praying for them as they prepare for their next chapter.

The students also received an opportunity to learn more about Bishop Williams, including his personal vocation story and his time in South Jersey so far. Father Joshua Nevitt, priest-secretary to Bishop Sullivan and associate director of CamdenPriest spoke to the students as well, discussing the meaning of vocations and reminding them to pray and reflect on the calling that God may have for each of them.
