CHRISTMAS PAGEANT

Students Retell Story of the Birth of Jesus
fac

This week we presented our annual Christmas pageant at St. Ann’s Church, where our talented 8th graders beautifully retold the story of the birth of Jesus. A special thank you goes to the Pittman family for graciously allowing their daughter to play the role of baby Jesus.

In addition to the pageant, all of our students from PreK through 8th grade shared the joy of the season by singing carols, and filling the church with Christmas cheer. We are so proud of each and every student for their wonderful performance. This has truly become one of our favorite traditions at Wildwood Catholic Academy.

As we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, we are reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season. From all of us here at Wildwood Catholic Academy, we wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas!

WCA CLASS OF 2025

Anastasia Bowman Commits to Arcadia University

fac

Wow, what an incredible evening we had on Friday, December 13, as we packed the auditorium with love and support for one of our very own superstars, Anastasia Bowman! Surrounded by family, friends, and coaches, we celebrated her acceptance to Arcadia University, where she’ll not only be hitting the books but also bringing her A-game on the basketball court!

Anastasia is just the latest in a long line of Wildwood Catholic Academy athletes who are taking their talents to the next level, and we couldn’t be prouder! Let’s rally behind her as she embarks on this exciting journey, but remember, we’ve got business to take care of this year too! So here’s to you, Anastasia—best of luck, and congratulations once again! Let’s keep that Wildwood spirit alive and show everyone what we’re made of!

SERVICE

Wildwood Catholic Academy Students
Dedicate Time to Help Others

fac

LJ Belasco, Stella Curley, Maura Bean, Lizzy Gorman, Mia Teng, Isabella Smith, Sophia Vitti, and Kinsley Wilson volunteered at the Beacon of Hope Shelter in Atlantic City. Our group left WCA at 3pm so that students could cook a taco dinner for over 30 residents of the shelter, and make grilled cheese sandwiches for people that are unhomed. The Red Door Beacon of Hope Shelter is a place that focuses not only on feeding those who are hungry, but also on teaching them that there is hope to get off the streets and make a change in their lives. Tabitha Wernick, Wildwood Class of 1994, was integral in collaborating with Mrs. McCann to make this experience possible. Tabitha has helped coordinate many of our service projects! She gets the ball rolling and the WCA community responds.

Calvin Kiker and Brody Zuccarello from Wildwood Catholic Academy visited Branches to deliver blessing bags made by the students. The bags are full of snacks and a bottle of water. It's such a treat for the guests! Many thanks to all who participated in this project.

CRUSADER ATHLETICS

Megan Feketics Named to CAL All-Academic Student-Athlete Team

A note from the Mike Rennie, Athletic Director: The Cape Atlantic League has done something new this year. This year it has reminded us that our student-athletes spend more time in the classroom than they do competing in their respective sport. The league has teamed up with Hard Rock Atlantic City as a sponsorship to highlight its first CAL All-Academic Student-Athlete Team. While we think it's great that students participate and help excel our sports programs, it's even better when we see them excel in the classroom.

So many times we see kids doing homework before a game, or during the bus rides to and from school. There's no time to waste when you play sports. You have to take every second possible and apply it to your studies. Each school's Athletic Department will nominate an athlete for each season.

This year's winner of the CAL All-Academic Student-Athlete Team for Wildwood Catholic Academy goes to Megan Feketics. We are so proud of you!!

Teddy Woolery Named Student-Athlete of the Month for November

BOYS SOCCER

Tommy Bolle Named Coach of the Year

fac fAC

The Wildwood Catholic Academy’s Boys’ Soccer Team had a great season. Numerous players were selected to 1st team honors by their respective league. However, the accolades did not stop there. The boys’ soccer All-State and postseason honors were awarded the other day. Coach Thomas Bolle has won Coach of the Year in the Cape Atlantic League.

Coach Tommy took over the program three years ago. In his second season at Wildwood Catholic Academy he has brought new life to the program and instilled positivity throughout the players and it shows. Last year in his first season, Coach Tommy improved the team to a 7-12 record. Six wins better than the year prior. In his second season with the team, he posted a 15-5-1 record, going undefeated in the United Conference in the Cape Atlantic League. That record gave the Crusaders the #2 seed in South, Non-Public B. The team unfortunately fell short in the semifinals 1-0 to Princeton Day. Although the team fell short in that game, we as Wildwood Catholic Academy have not fallen short in gaining a coach like Tommy.

Tommy, we applaud you for all that you do and once again, Congratulations!!!

Theater Field Trip

What an absolutely enchanting experience we had at Elf the Musical at the Walnut Street Theatre! The atmosphere was alive with joy and excitement, as we reminisced about the memories we created during our own production of Elf JR. A heartfelt thank you to Walnut Street for hosting such a magical afternoon that not only entertained but also enriched the lives of our students
