Wildwood Catholic Academy Thanks Coach Steve DiPatri for His Years of Service

(Wildwood, NJ) – After a distinguished tenure, Coach Steve DiPatri has decided to step down from his position as head coach of the Wildwood Catholic Academy Girls Basketball program.

Wildwood Catholic Academy proudly thanks Coach Steve DiPatri for his dedication and leadership of the Girls Basketball program since 2013.

For the past 13 years, Coach DiPatri has served as a mentor and role model to countless student-athletes while helping build one of the premier girls basketball programs in South Jersey. His commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork has had a lasting impact on Wildwood Catholic Academy and the many young women who have worn the Crusader uniform.

During his time at Wildwood Catholic, Coach DiPatri led the Crusaders to six Cape-Atlantic League Conference Championships and helped 14 student-athletes continue their basketball careers at the collegiate level. This season, he achieved another remarkable milestone by earning his 600th career victory.

Among his many accomplishments, Coach DiPatri was inducted into the New Jersey State Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018 and won the John Wooden Legacy Award in 2025, a national high school coaching honor presented annually by the National High School Basketball Coaches Association in partnership with the Wooden Family. He also holds the distinction of being the winningest coach in Cape-Atlantic League Girls Basketball history, compiling an outstanding record of 618 victories and 168 losses over 29 seasons, including 13 seasons at Wildwood Catholic Academy.

While his accomplishments on the court are impressive, Coach DiPatri's greatest legacy is the positive influence he has had on generations of student-athletes. Through his leadership, dedication, and passion for the game, he has helped shape the lives of countless young women and strengthened the proud tradition of Crusader basketball.

The entire Wildwood Catholic Academy community extends its sincere gratitude to Coach DiPatri for his years of service, leadership, and commitment to our students and athletic program.

Thank you, Coach DiPatri, for thirteen outstanding years leading Wildwood Catholic Academy Girls Basketball and for the lasting legacy you leave behind. We will have exciting news to share with you about our new girls basketball coach in the coming weeks!
